Daniel J. Wavrin is founder of Artisan Service Group, head cheese maker at Ferndale Farmstead, and founder of his personal line of cheeses ‘Daniels Artisan’.
Growing up, Daniel enjoyed working on the farm with his family, especially in the fields and knew he wanted to return to the farm in some capacity after going to school. In 2010, Daniel was off to California Polytechnic University to study Agricultural Systems Management. Shortly after starting school, Daniel found his interest outside of the classroom, cheesemaking. Thus began a journey of navigating and learning how to bring to life his vision of a branded family cheese company.
Experiencing first hand everything that went into developing a cheese business was not an easy learning curve, therefore his mission with ASG is to serve the artisan community the best way he can…by sharing his knowledge and experience in:
Food Safety Management, Business Development, Distribution, Sales, Marketing and all the stuff that a lot of folks have no idea how to start navigating.
Nidia Wavrin-Hernandez is the co-founder and Marketing Specialist for Artisan Service Group. She has a passion for advocating for companies, products, and projects that are honest, authentic, and consumer driven.
Nidia and her husband Daniel Wavrin envisioned and brought to reality their family cheese brand “Ferndale Farmstead.” What takes companies years to do we did in a matter of 5 weeks. We designed and developed an entire branded cheese company. What I realized was that not everyone has access to a marketer and not everyone can look at their product from a marketing perspective. I thrive on helping others identify their companies S/W/O/T and create a strong brand identity strategies that promise growth and longevity.
Her education background includes a B.A. in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from Western Washington University.
